Casino Squash Brooklyn
Yes, it’s not really in their interest to tell you about the membership process. It’s a bit like when an agent says “call me now and we’ll talk about this great opportunity!” but neglects to put the price. The reason they don’t wanna put the price. Professional doubles started in 1938 at The Heights Casino in Brooklyn, NY. It had a viable tour starting in 1980 with three events located in both the United States as well as Canada. In 2000 the doubles pro tour rebranded itself with the name International Squash Doubles Association.
Our Mission is to make squash more accessible to the general public. Think of us as a squash specific YMCA that’s just a bit more modern. We are setting aside a portion of our memberships so that we can offer discounted deals to those who cannot afford to join without assistance.

David has been engaged in NYC real estate since 1962, when he purchased and renovated an 18’ brownstone on W. 95th off CPW. From 1967 to 1973 he owned and operated The Paradox, NY’s first Macrobotic natural foods restaurant. Beginning in 1974 through 2004, he has purchased, renovated, and sponsored, as the Managing Partner, seven Manhattan real estate developments, totaling over 560,000 sq. ft., converting lofts and warehouses into coops and condominiums. In 2004 he created one of NYC first “Green Roofs”, which was then published as a National Geographic centerfold. David is a member of the NY Yacht Club, and has been actively sailing, racing and cruising since 1977, both locally and offshore, winning the Marion-Bermuda Race in 1989 in his class. He holds a patent for a device and method enabling a marine to select Storm Havens & Hurricane Holes, and in 2008 he developed an App, You-Tack, as a Guide to the Racing Rules. David lives in the loft he built in 1975 with his wife, has three grown daughters, and plays doubles squash, but not as much as he’d like.
James is a 25-year operational CEO. Most recently James was CEO of Magnetic where he grew the company from $1 to $100 million in revenue. Before that he was CEO of four other VC-funded businesses all of which had successful exits. He currently sits on the board of Pixability, works as a consultant for Bridge 22, and is an EIR at Progress Partners. James is happily married with two children despite having made his family live on a boat with him for a year while they sailed around the world (2010-11). He graduated from McGill University and holds an MBA from the Anderson school at UCLA.
David has spent most of his career as a lawyer and senior executive in the telecommunications and media industry. He’s currently Senior Executive Vice President at Charter Communications overseeing a broad range of business and corporate functions and prior to that was General Counsel at Cablevision Systems Corp. for many years. David started his career as a law clerk to Judges Breyer and Ginsberg when they were Court of Appeals judges and for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. He holds a B.A. and J.D. from Harvard as well as a master’s degree from Cambridge University. David is an avid recreational squash player along with his wife Ingrid and two children Audrey and Jacob.
Peter is a former professional squash player. During his career, he won one World Open title, two British Open titles, and four Commonwealth Games Gold Medals. He is widely considered to be one of the most outstanding international squash players of his time. Nicol was ranked World No. 1 for a total of 60 months during his career, including a continuous 24-month stint in 2002–2003. Nicol retired in 2006 and turned his focus to promoting the game, both through the Nicol Champions Academy (NCA) in New York and SquashSkills, an online coaching resource.
Terry has over 15 years of international accounting and financial leadership experience and a strong record of success driving profitability and growth for emerging startups and leading global organizations. Terry currently runs the financial operations at CompStak and has prior experience at Via and Toshiba. Terry is a qualified chartered accountant and is a graduate of Leeds University in the UK. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.

Men's Professional Doubles[edit]
Professional doubles started in 1938 at The Heights Casino in Brooklyn, NY. It had a viable tour starting in the late 1970s with events located in both the United States and Canada. In 2000, the doubles pro tour rebranded itself with the new name, International Squash Doubles Association (ISDA), and again in 2012 as The Squash Doubles Association Pro Tour (SDA Pro Tour).[1] It is the governing body responsible for the men’s world professional squash doubles tour and celebrated its 75th anniversary of professional doubles in 2013.
Women's Professional Doubles[edit]
Since the Women’s Doubles Squash Association (WDSA) formed in 2007, it has reached several of its goals. It has increased the number of women playing professional and amateur doubles and encouraged former college players, current teaching professionals and WISPA touring professionals to play.
In addition to the tour growth, with stops throughout the United States and Canada, the WDSA has helped foster and build women’s doubles on the amateur level which has been achieved through pro-am tournaments and Under 30 events at local clubs.
The WDSA, corporate partners, patrons and membership have established relationships with local charities throughout the United States – City Squash, METRO squash, Mile High Squash and Squash Haven – all urban squash programs.
