Group Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Atherton was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer for Emperors Palace in August 2006 after he rejoined the Group in July 2005 as Financial Manager at Emperors Palace after a brief period at Zenprop Property Holdings (Pty) Ltd where he was the Divisional Director for Finance and Operations. He has held various financial positions within Peermont since 1999. Mr Atherton was previously responsible for the Group’s flagship resort, Emperors Palace. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a B Compt Honours Degree.
Charl Fouche
Group Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Fouche joined the Peermont Group in 2002 as Financial Manager of Emperors Palace. In 2004 as Peermont’s Group Financial Manager he was actively involved with the successful listing of the group. He has held various financial positions within Peermont and more recently assisted with the capital reorganization of the group. In 2014 he was appointed to his current position. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Honours Degrees, as well as a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from the University of Johannesburg and is also registered with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has completed the Certificate in International Treasury Management.
Fihliwe Molefi
Group Human Resources Executive
Mrs. Molefi has 18 years generalist Human Resources experience where her career began at Unilever (Lever Brothers) as Human Resource Generalist. She later moved to De Beers mining where she specialised in Remuneration and Benefits management for both local and expatriate management. She joined the Gambling Industry in 2000 where she established a Human Resources Department for the Gauteng Gambling Board, after which she joined Tsogo Sun. Her current role within Peermont includes organisational development, training and development, employee relations, remuneration and payroll, human resources general management and internal communication management. Mrs Molefi holds a Masters in Human Resources from University of Johannesburg (formerly Rand Afrikaanse University), a B.tech Degree in Human Resources from Cape Town University of Technology (formerly Peninsula Technikon) and a National Diploma in Human Resources from Cape Town University of Technology. Currently, she is completing her Thesis through Milpark Business School and serves on the Fedhasa Inland Board.
Dawie Petzer

Group Legal Counsel
Mr. Petzer, after obtaining his LL.B degree, spent nine years at the office of the State Attorney where he served his articles and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He was subsequently appointed by the Mpumalanga Gambling Board, which was the first gambling board in South Africa to issue casino licenses in the legislated gambling dispensation. Mr Petzer established the legal services function at Peermont and has been the senior executive of the group for legal services since August 1999, where he manages the legal aspects of the business of the group including the drafting and vetting of agreements, rendering of legal advice and liaison with external legal advisors, and commercial legal startegy. He is also the Company Secretary of Peermont.

Dave Milne
Group Hospitality Executive
Mr. Milne joined Peermont in 1999 as Group Chief Information Officer. In 2010, he was appointed Special Projects Executive and in 2014 he took on the role of Group IT and Operations Executive. He was previously the Regional Chief Operating Officer for the South African properties, excluding Emperors Palace for a period of 3 years and Group Chief Information Officer for 10 years. He also worked in Operations and/or Information Technology within well-known South African hotel chains, Southern Sun Hotels, Picardi Hotels, Protea Hotels and Stocks Hotels & Resorts.
Billy Gray
Group Gaming Executive
Mr. Gray joined Peermont in 1998 and has over 28 years experience in the gaming industry. Previously he was with Sun International where he formed part of the opening team of the Carousel. He initiated the financial internal audit department and assisted in establishing the computerised gaming systems in the Bahamas (Atlantis for the Kerzner Group). Mr Gray then joined the Mpumalanga Gambling Board where he was responsible for the set up of the Investigations and Compliance Department and the design of the RFP process, licensee applications, selection process and the investigations into the Applicants before joining Peermont. Mr. Gray holds a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa.
Clive Tavener
Complex Operations Executive : Emperors Palace
Mr Tavener was appointed Complex Operations Executive of Emperors Palace in July 2017 and has a wealth of experience having held the position of General Manager at Peermont’s Umfolozi Resort (Empangeni), in addition to overseeing the group’s Graceland Resort (Secunda), Frontier Inn (Bethlehem) and Mondazur (South Coast) properties as Regional Manager. He was also the General Manager at Rio Resort (Klerksdorp) and in 2015 took over the responsibilities of Operations Executive at Peermont Global Botswana. Mr Tavener has graduated from the Executive Management Development Programme (at UCT Business School) and holds a Higher Certificate in Business Management (from Regenesys Business School).
